01
We invite you to contact us and discover whether we are the right firm for you. This is an opportunity for you to provide some brief details and understand how we can assist. If you like what you hear, you can make an initial strategic consultation with a senior family law solicitor.
02
This appointment is a 60-minute meeting where we ask many questions, provide some advice, and outline your next steps in navigating your unique situation. After the consultation, we will provide you with further information, including a written outline of your potential legal costs.
This consultation consolidates our understanding of your situation and your interests before we proceed to formally act for you and apply our legal expertise to your situation. If you think we are not the most appropriate law firm for you at this point, there is no obligation to continue.
03
You will meet with a partner or an experienced family law solicitor during your initial consultation who will review the facts and uniquely direct you depending on your circumstance. Our strategies will be flexible as needed throughout your case.
04
With experience in helping hundreds of people to navigate family law situations, we have confidence to assist you in making decisions in line with your values and expressed interests. In consultation with your solicitor, we will act based on your instructions to implement the agreed course of action. We carefully evaluate and redirect if required.
05
When agreement has been reached, we ensure that the closure of your file is conducted in a way that supports you with your expressed desires. Whether you seek to limit further costs, ensure strict compliance, or wait for a season before further action, we can help you proceed with confidence. You can continue to have peace knowing that we are only a phone call away!
We do not offer any cheap discounts or other gimmicks.
Our initial strategic consultation is $550 for an in-person 60-minute appointment with a senior family law solicitor. In these appointments, we will cover all general family law, property, divorce and parenting matters.
If you like what you see, we will provide you with a written outline of potential further costs and general advice for you to act upon and consider before engaging our office.
Due to our reputation as solicitors who speak truth and provide practical advice, we often assist clients who want to change solicitors or who simply seek a second opinion.
We engage with such appointments in good faith, where we will provide independent legal advice and let you make decisions as to how you would like to proceed. Some clients will regain trust in their existing solicitor, where others will want to proceed to change lawyers.
If you are considering such an appointment, we encourage you to communicate your concerns directly with your solicitor and ask them to stop any further work if you are thinking of changing solicitors (to avoid further charges).
We recommend that all clients engage with our Initial Strategic Consultation to determine whether we are a good fit before engaging further services.
We offer several fixed fee arrangements for divorce applications, consent orders, financial agreements, reviewing financial agreements, and intervention order matters.
In the event that you desire further assistance beyond the scope of these fixed fee arrangements, we can complete further work on a time-billing basis.
We do not offer Legal Aid assistance.
Our focus is upon providing quality and grounded legal outcomes to everyday people. If you seek assistance, we are able to respond quickly to provide you with direction and peace of mind.
Our clients consistently reflect that they feel understood, have peace of mind and were glad to get pragmatic advice upfront.
Most of the time we recommend that you obtain legal advice, where you may not actually need an ongoing legal representative to act for you in your particular situation.
We invite you to engage in an initial consult to discuss your position, evaluate your options and determine your next steps – including the merits of ongoing legal assistance.
While we have helped several people who wished they had obtained legal advice earlier, we have never had anyone wish they had recieved legal advice later!
